Hi everyone, it’s time to share some statistics about what I read last year. My reading statistics from 2016 and 2015 are also available. Unfortunately, I didn’t get around to doing this in 2017, but I have already covered the first half of 2018, so you may be interested to see how those statistics compare to the year as a whole. I’m going to do this a little differently this year and share my reactions to some Goodreads statistics instead of creating my own.
If you’re logged in to your Goodreads account, you can view my 2018 in books on Goodreads.
This has been a pretty good reading year for me. I read more books than I have in any other year I’ve recorded on Goodreads except 2014, which is tied with 77 books.
I believe that this page count length is on the low side for me, but it still indicates that I’m reading relatively long books.
The most popular book I read was a reread of a classic and the least popular was a sequel. This makes sense as sequels tend to have fewer readers as they go on and Pride and Prejudice is often regarded as a must read.
My overall Goodreads rating for the year perfectly aligns with my overall rating for all time.
Highest Rated On Goodreads
My highest rated book on Goodreads was a middle grade novel in a lengthy series. This makes sense as most of the readers who dislike the series would have stopped reading already, and there isn’t much to hate about a fun novel about talking dragons.
What did you read in 2018? Have you read any of these books? What are you planning to read this year?
